The film program, curated by Caryn Cline (Interbay Cinema Society Executive Director), is international in scope and features 10 short experimental films originally made on 16mm celluloid and originally presented as silent.
The soundtrack will be improvised live on stage by cellist Lori Goldston, creating a one-of-a-kind fusion of film media and live music. Goldston has previously performed the program in London, Bristol, Bologna, Rome, Milan, Brussels, and Bremen.
LORI GOLDSTON
Classically trained and rigorously de-trained, possessor of a restless, semi-feral spirit, Lori Goldston is a cellist, composer, improvisor, producer, writer and teacher from Seattle. Her voice as a cellist, amplified or acoustic, is full, textured, committed and original. A relentless inquirer, her work drifts freely across borders that separate genre, discipline, time and geography.
